Dear Zeus,
Have you ever considered having a loyal god who respects and doesn't argue with people? Or a god who is kind and gentle? Do you know which god this is? Yes, its Hestia. This poor goddess has been working and working non-stop. I think she deserves a break. Maybe, for a year. If she accepts my offer, I will replace her.
I think I have the right skills to replace her because I respect people and treat them the way they want to be. I like it when people respect me. I love it when people say I am a kind and respectful person. At my communion, almost every person there said I was a kind and gentle person. It never gets old!.
In my Home Ec. class, I took awesome care of eight children! (they were eggs) So, that means I can take care of children and respect people like Hestia.
Another reason is that I don't argue with people (except my brother) so I need to work on that a little more. I am not the type of person who likes to argue. I just let it slide and not worry about it. Another reason is that Hestia was the most influential and widely revered of the Greek goddesses and she was the most important goddess of all. I am important too because I am the youngest in my family.
Also Hestia is the goddess of the hearth and home. I like the fact that she is the goddess of the hearth because hearth in Latin is 'focus' and I focus on almost everything that revolves around me. I also like that she is the goddess of home because, she never left her home and I don't want to either. I want to stay home because I want to stay with my family like Hestia did.
So, Zeus, think about this strong offer and consider this message as a gift from me to Hestia.

Great letter! I think you poured yourself into that letter great! I think other people would have a hard time making a better letter for Hestia

Shallon, your first paragraph really made me want to keep reading. The rest of your letter was awesome!!! It was so descriptive. You gave so many strong facts and examples that you convinced me right then that you would be perfect to replace Hestia! I loved when you said Hestia was the most influential and widely revered goddess. It made your letter extremely exciting and made me want to read more. I also loved how you related hearth to yourself by saying the latin word for it is 'focus'. Your letter was incredible! I was sad when it was over. Amazing job!!!

WOW that letter was AWESOME. My favorite example you used was the one about the eggs in home ec. class. You can definitely take care of children! I think you should replace Hestia!
