Step falls
My favorite place in the whole wide world
near Bethel
off a dirt road
that’s the entrance.

As you climb you are in the deep Maine woods
full of the smell
of fresh pine
decaying leaves
musty air
damp environment.

Waterfalls
the closer we get
the more they echo in our ears even louder
boulders cutting down the mountain
water pooling down
faster and faster
till it hits the ground.

Step falls
like Fun Town- Splash Town only natural
waterfalls
rock slides
deep pools
kids paradise
step falls!

Lake Pemaquid

The smell of pine,
Like a Fall afternoon,
At the campsite,
Set up our tent,
Then eat lunch.

Later that day,
My father and I,
Take a boat,
To the deep, blue lake,
To fish.

As we give up,
Something happens,
Something exciting,
Something great,
I get a bite.

He put up a fight,
He wouldn't give up,
But eventually,
I got him!

I stay at the lake,
For three weeks,
Always savoring,
Each day.

I'm coming back,
To the lake,
This summer,
I can't wait!

We go there in the summer
to wakeboard
to relax
to have fun

with a field
that stretches all the way to the road
with the smell of pine-needles
and sap everywhere you go
with fun around every corner

The color the ocean turns when a storm
is about to hit
is the color of my camp
with a porch across the front
two stories high
and a dock with our
boat-
that we couldn't live without

When the water is

The best place I have ever been to
is six flags
They have a roller coaster
called the

I did not go on the ride because I was a little scared
of how high it was
The roller coaster had 5 separate coasters and
they all were red
and blue

All 5 coasters had a red cape on the back of each one
with a warning sign on the back
of it

Feeling
When you walk in it's like magic.
It's like boom, the smell of hot dogs
And peanuts.
It was not like any ballpark.
It was Yankee Stadium.
This was not a dream.
It was more.

The Game
Every crack of the bat was like
Music. The people around me
were from different states.
They came just to see a game.

Memories
When I left I thought back to
Reality. Also I left with memories.
Like the final score 8 – 2.
My favorite player hitting a home run,
But most of all I went to the game.

Now Yankee Stadium is gone.
The last game there was a special one.
The Yankees won on a special night
That celebrates their history.

The most wonderful place in New England
Boston.
The Red Sox Stadium
the scent of the hot dogs
pulls you closer and closer
the delicious 8 inch
hot dogs
taste better
than the hot dogs from home.

Then, once the game
starts
the rumbling of the
crowd begins,
and by the 6th inning
I can already taste
the fresh breath of
a win.

After the game
it takes almost
forever to get to the T.

Once we get on the T it feels like it only takes
1 second
to get back to the train station
Here we catch our train home
to Portland.

The Island

One of my favorite places is next to an island
in the Pacific ocean in Mexico
with hundreds of colorful fish
many giant starfish
lots of stingrays
cruising along the ocean depth.

Divers deep down under the water with little
schools of fish cruising along near them.
The giant starfish were indigo with orange spikes
there were sunfish with yellow stripes.

And there was a sea-lion who was doing poses
and acting like a super model sun bathing on a rock.

There was a guy near where the boat docked
who made sand-blasted wooden carvings of
sea lions and other animals that live in the ocean.

I bought a large wooden fish for my dad who was still
in the United States and I bought my mother who was
in the United States as well a dolphin
that was another one of his carvings.

step grandfather
