Taylor

Yankee Stadium

Feeling
When you walk in it's like magic.
It's like boom, the smell of hot dogs
And peanuts.
It was not like any ballpark.
It was Yankee Stadium.
This was not a dream.
It was more.

The Game
Every crack of the bat was like
Music. The people around me
were from different states.
They came just to see a game.

Memories
When I left I thought back to
Reality. Also I left with memories.
Like the final score 8 – 2.
My favorite player hitting a home run,
But most of all I went to the game.

Gone
Now Yankee Stadium is gone.
The last game there was a special one.
The Yankees won on a special night
That celebrates their history.

Taylor, I like the way you described being in Yankee Stadium as "more than a dream." You are clearly a Yankees fan!
I can hear the sound when you write "the crack of the bat was like music." This is a wonderful poem!

Taylor, your first paragraph is awesome! It is so descriptive and poetic. It made me want to keep reading. I love how you compare the crack of the bat to music. I like your last line, "That celebrates their history." It ends your poem really well. I also like how you labeled each paragraph starting with Feeling, The game, etc. You did a fantastic Job! I was upset when it was over.
